My name is Trevor Dawkins, my paintings are inspired by the Almighty, God the father to Create these vibrant paintings. Born in Jamaica, my inspirations started at a tender age drawing in the sand, then “coloring books”. I migrated to North America some 40 years ago and now reside in Ontario Canada. This Rebirth and Passion for painting came through a turbulent period of my life, These works were influenced for a number of years by my Rastafarian Experience.
Over the years while I worked my full-time Job and took care of my growing family I always found time to continue designing and painting. I have had a Major Exhibition at the Mercer Union Gallery in Toronto, along with other exhibitions. I would like to extend thanks and the privilege to KIM KOZZI and DAI SKUSE to be a part of FASTWURMS installation “WURMHOĹE” at the KOFFLER GALLERY KOFFLER CENTRE OF THE ART 26th JULY – 18th SEPTEMBER 1994.
I would like also to thank FUSE MAGAZINE who feature me on the front cover of PUBLIC volume 15 no.3 in the 1992 edition and a small write up inside.
I am a kingdom worker now for over 15 years and express myself through my artwork by Seeking first the Kingdom of God. I am a Graphic Artist working in Acrylic and absolutely enjoy the work that I do.
I give Thanks and Praise to Almighty God to Serve in this manner.
